Order of the Arrow Elections @ Next Meeting 2/12

Posted on Feb 8 2018 - 11:37pm

Troop 232 Families,

This Monday's regular troop meeting is our "once a year" opportunity for your son (if he meets the eligibility requirements) to be elected into the BSA's Order of the Arrow (or the "OA") by his fellow Scouts.  The OA serves as a sort of "Scouting Honor Society" as it is designed to recognize those Scouts (and adult Scouters) who "best exemplify the Scout Oath and Law in their daily lives".  The OA also provides great opportunities for boys to provide service back to Scouting, pursue leadership opportunities beyond Troop 232, and is often part of the roadmap to prime summer "staff" jobs at BSA summer & high adventure camps, etc.
