Welcome to the Troop 232, Atlanta, GA website.

Troop 232 is Atlanta's High Adventure Scout Troop.  Sponsored by the Northwest Presbyterian Church since 1964, Troop 232 has served the Atlanta Community with an award-winning scouting program that emphasizes outdoor adventure, teamwork, and leadership.  With over 100 scouts ages 11 to 18 years old and more than a dozen trained each of Scoutmasters and Committee members, Troop 232 offers an active fun-filled year-round program.  Troop 232 welcomes boys from all backgrounds and faiths.

Troop 232 meets every Monday night at 7:30 at NW Presbyterian Church, 4300 Northside Drive, Atlanta, GA 30327, in the Scout Hut.  Please come visit us.

2017 Skymont: Scouts with Prescriptions & Dietary Restrictions, please read....

For Skymont scouts with special dietary concerns (i.e. Celiac) or medication requirements: 

1. Dietary concerns -  If your scout has special dietary concerns, please email me by June 6.    We can then consult the camp menu and coordinate the type of food you may need to pack and any special preparation needed with the camp kitchen staff.

Please plan to attend the Troop meeting on Monday, May 1, to sign-up for the A.T. Backpacking Campout on May 6-7.  If you are unable to attend Monday, but still want to sign-up, please do so by sending an e-mail to Mark Balloun at mballoun7@gmail.com no later than Monday 7:00 p.m.  In your e-mail, please include Scout’s name, Dad’s name, and Dad’s vehicle model if attending…Dads really needed!  More details below and attached:

Preview: Appalachian Trail Backpacking Campout May 6-7, 2017

Dear Troop 232 Parents, Scouts and Scouters,

Troop 232's annual backpacking campout is fast approaching (May 6-7).  This year we will be backpacking 13.2 miles along the Appalachian Trail from Tray Gap to Dicks Creek Gap.  Please refer to the attached document, “A.T. Tray-Dicks Handout Campout & Packing Details 2017,” for more information about this great event.  These details will be discussed thoroughly at the Troop Meeting on May 1 before the campout weekend, but you should read in the event there may be equipment needs to be taken care of in advance.

Monday PLC - Boards of Review - Tower Program April 24th

This is a reminder that our usual post-campout Monday PLC and BoR meeting, plus the Tower Program, will be taking place 4/24 even though the canoeing campout was cancelled due to weather concerns. Tower Program 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm. Patrol Leader's Council (PLC) 6:30 pm to 7:30 pm. Rank Advancement and Boards of Review (BoR) 7:30 pm to 8:30 pm.

Holy Spirit Catholic Church wants to Honor Eagle Scouts and Scouts who have earned their religious emblems (Ad Altare Dei)

The HSCC Scout Mass will be Sunday, May 7th at the 11:30am Mass.  This Mass has been designated to honor all girls and boys at Holy Spirit involved in Scouting. All Scouts are encouraged to wear their uniforms, to join in the entrance procession, and sit together in a reserved section.
